Uses for Ionic Silver
Ionic Silver
Uses
Several of our therapies include using
ionic silver orally, nasally, or topically.
Why we use Ionic Silver solutions and gels:
Silver has a long and intriguing history as an
antimicrobial in human health care. It has been developed for use in water
purification, wound care, bone prostheses, reconstructive orthopedic surgery,
cardiac devices, catheters and surgical appliances. It is useful to address infection as well
as prevent it. Bacterial, viral (and probably fungal) sensitivity to silver relates
to the levels of silver uptake into the infectious agent and its ability to
interact and irreversibly damage metabolic and reproductive systems. 1 For this reason, infections will be reduced
and prevented.
Ionic silver has been
used for countless years as the “ultimate” antibiotic, antifungal and antiviral
alternative. This natural element appears to break down the bacterial cell
walls. Viruses are rendered ineffective when silver particles cause them to be
unable to replicate.
When it comes to healing
wounds, there are differences in silver. Total silver content is divided into
two forms — ionic silver and silver particles known as colloidal silver.
Colloidal silver is more common, but more expensive and less effective than
ionic silver water. This is why we choose to use ionic silver primarily.
General daily
maintenance doses, when taken, are between ½ teaspoon and a maximum of 1
tablespoon daily; however, these figures vary dramatically based on the strength
of the ionic silver liquid.
Side effects include a
feeling of malaise, mild headache, flu-like symptoms and diarrhea, referred to
as part of a “healing crisis.” They are the result of the silver killing off
too many pathogens too fast. Consumption must be daily because the liver
filters out silver ions within two days. So if you are sick, support liver pathways
to improve glutathione levels and drink plenty of purified water.
Currently CR Supplements provides the 200 & 400 ppm ionic silver liquid we use, and ASAPOTC provides the silver gel. If you need either of these products, please contact us at the office.
