Uses for Ionic Silver

Image
Ionic Silver Uses Several of our therapies include using ionic silver orally, nasally, or topically. Why we use Ionic Silver solutions and gels: Silver has a long and intriguing history as an antimicrobial in human health care. It has been developed for use in  water purification, wound care, bone prostheses, reconstructive orthopedic surgery, cardiac devices, catheters and surgical appliances . It is useful to address infection as well as prevent it. Bacterial, viral (and probably fungal) sensitivity to silver relates to the levels of silver uptake into the infectious agent and its ability to interact and irreversibly damage metabolic and reproductive systems.  1   For this reason, infections will be reduced and prevented. Silver is an effective antimicrobial, antiviral and antifungal agent with low toxicity, which is important especially in the treatment of burn wounds where infections moving into the blood stream is prevalent and its fast control is ess...

COVID-19 Highlights

Image
Certain features have been elucidated about the tendencies of human infection of the COVID-19 virus. The most recent paper published in The Journal of Medical Virology early in 2020 states: "These findings suggested that the initiation of the immune response result in the production of chemokines and cytokines, which damage normal host lung." 1 Chemokines and Cytokines are the chemicals the body uses to fight infection, with the purpose of creating a healing for the host-human. When the person has a pre-existing high level of these inflammatory chemicals or has a harder time dampening a hyper-vigilant immune response (as in autoimmunity), an infection can hit much harder than for those with normal inflammatory responses. This explains why COVID-19 is worse for people with underlying conditions that often are paired with older age: diabetes, heart disease, and autoimmune conditions. Determining the level of inflammationfrom a blood sample might help understand where the in...

Immune Function and Support

Immune Function Support Factors known to help our bodies fight infection include: eating a blood-type friendly diet consisting of the fiber, complex carbohydrates, and proteins in the form of fresh, whole, unprocessed foods: good psychological health achieved through stress control, positive thinking, and rewarding activity; and good physical conditioning through aerobic exercise, passive stretching, adequate sleep, rest, and relaxation. Studies have indicated that vitamin C may help increase the activity of specific white blood cells, the cells involved in fighting infection. It has been observed that in the presence of vitamin C, white blood cell movement may be stimulated, as may be their ability to destroy bacteria. It has also been noted that certain virus growth may be inhibited when vitamin C is present. Optimal Benefit from Vitamin C Because of this kind of research, and often a positive personal experience, many people regularl...
